Mike La Barbera, Director of Athletics

Mr. La Barbera has years of experience as a player, coach and camp director in the sport of baseball. He played baseball for the University of Rhode Island and became the school's first All-American baseball player. After college, he signed a professional contract to play with the Montreal Expos Organization. Mike has coached numerous sports at the youth level including soccer, basketball and baseball at The Prout School. He has also taught in the history department and will remain on staff as a teacher at Prout as well.
The Prout School has always had a tradition of providing a balanced educational experience including a strong emphasis on athletics. All students are encouraged to participate in a wide-range of sports offered at Prout.
