Honors U.S. History

Prerequisites: Honors Western Civilization
This course is a survey of United States history offered to sophomores on the honors level. The course follows several themes including the United States as a multicultural nation, citizenship, democracy, the changing economy and global interdependence. It covers the Columbian Era and progresses through the history of the nation to the modern era. Primary sources are examined and evaluated. Independent work and projects are essential to the course.
