Global Studies
Grades 11-12, 1 credit elective
An examination of the geography, culture, history and current events of the Communist and former Communist countries; South Asia, Middle East, North Africa and the developing world. This course also explores the basic structure, powers, and limitations of the United Nations, and examines current major world issues, such as nuclear proliferation, ethnic strife, terrorism, the Arab-Israeli conflict and environmental problems.
