What do you enjoy most about The Prout School academic experience?
The thing that I have definitely enjoyed the most at The Prout School has been the teachers.  They are all very knowledgeable and truly care about the students’ well-being.   In addition to the teachers, I am also very impressed with the recent addition which includes the new science wing.  As a result of the addition, the school is able to maintain a wide array of challenging courses while at the same time keeping the class sizes small, enhancing the educational experience.

How do you feel the academic requirements are preparing you for your future?
The Prout School offers a very well-rounded, liberal arts education that is preparing me for the any future major of my choice.  During my past two years at the school I have found that all of the classes offered provide the students with a plethora of knowledge that can be used both in and out of the classroom, truly preparing me for life outside of school.  In general, all of the classes at Prout are providing the students with the necessary skills and tool to excel at the college level.

How does the community at Prout benefit you as a student and person?
I have found one of the main benefits of The Prout School to be the small class sizes.  As a result of the small class sizes teachers are able to connect more with each student and learn about their strengths and weaknesses.  I have personally found Prout to be a great place to grow into an adult since it is giving me the tools I need to discover who I really am and what I want to be.

Why did you choose to attend Prout?
I came to The Prout School because I was very interested in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program offered at the school.  Since Prout is the only school in New England that offers this program and I really wanted to challenge myself by taking the IB classes, Prout seemed like a perfect match.  During my junior year I hope to have a full roster of IB courses.  In addition to the IB program I was also extremely impressed with the school’s Visual and Performing Arts program.  The performances done by the school are among the best of the private schools in the state of Rhode Island.
