Guitar II
Grades 9-12
Prerequisites: Guitar I or by permission of the instructor
This class will cover advanced guitar performance and elements of music: harmony, rhythm, melody and form. We will learn bar position chords, scales, transposition and advanced lead guitar technique. Students will also explore further elements of music theory including key signatures, time signatures, modes, chord progressions, harmonic analysis, sight- reading and composition. The class may also use various computer programs such as Finale for composition and Garage Band for recording and arranging music.
