Student Uniform

 

Prout students are expected to be neatly dressed and well-groomed at all times, just as they would be at a job where dress clothes are required.  Boys must be clean shaven.

Uniform Code – Students not in compliance with the uniform code may be sent home.  All items must be purchased from Donnelly’s School Apparel.

All Students PLEASE NOTE: 

  • Any student in violation of the uniform code will be issued a violation form.  Three violations will result in a detention.
  • Dress uniform: White oxford (button down collar shirt) with the Prout uniform tie. For Seniors, the light blue Oxford or other solid color Oxford is optional.
  • Daily uniform: White or maroon uniform polo shirts, short sleeve or long sleeve, may be worn at any time during the year except on days when we announce that dress uniforms must be worn. The Dress uniform may always be worn, if desired.
  • Underclothing may not be visible under shirts; only solid white T-shirts are permitted.
  • Shirts must be tucked in.  Long sleeve shirts must be rolled down and buttoned.
  • Hats may not be worn in school.
  • Jewelry must not detract from the uniform.  No chains, handcuffs, spiked belts or heavy bracelets may be worn.
  • Boys must wear belts at the waist.
  • Body piercing is not acceptable and must be removed.
  • Tattoos are not acceptable and may not be visible.
  • Sandals and flip flops are not acceptable.
  • Girls: Knee highs, stirrups or tights ending at the ankles are not permitted.  Patterned or striped stockings are not permitted.
