How long have you been teaching at Prout?
I have been teaching at Prout for the past three years. Before coming to Prout, I was a professional ballerina at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Ukraine in Kiev. I have performed in the following ballets: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker – Tchaikovsky, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet – Prokofiev and many others.
What enticed you to work at The Prout School?
I wanted to work at The Prout School because of the strong arts program as well as the Catholic foundation of the school.
What grades and courses do you teach?
I teach Movement, Dance and Advanced Dance to all grade levels.
What is your favorite thing about the Prout community and the students here?
My favorite thing about The Prout School is definitely the students. I love their enthusiasm and willingness to challenge themselves to the new dance and movement programs. In addition to the students, I also enjoy working with my fellow faculty members and the administration. It’s nice to work in an environment where everyone works together in such a cohesive manner.
Are you involved in any other extra curricular activities at the school?
In addition to teaching at the school, I am also involved in the Prout theatrical productions and dance shows.
