With only 18 days until the big 17th Annual Spring Auction on April 10, the pace of preparations has turned up a few notches. Raffle tickets are selling well, and Auction reservations are continuing to come in.

The Vacation Raffle: A few reminders for those who haven’t yet bought a Vacation Raffle ticket: At only $35 each and with the total number of tickets being sold numbering in the hundreds, not thousands or millions, YOUR chances – of winning a dream vacation -- are big, indeed. Compare this to the huge odds (one in several million) against hitting the lottery. It’s a no-brainer! We have said it before – For only $35, someone is going to win a vacation trip that will never be forgotten. And remember, too, the Prout class that sells the most Vacation Raffle tickets wins $500 cash for their treasury, which will certainly come in handy.

The Auction: This evening is Prout’s single most important fundraising event and social function of the school year. We need you there! It’s your chance to have lots of fun AND to raise the crucial funds that go directly to help our students.
At this time, we still are looking for donations large and small (they all count) of the following auction items:
• Gift Certificates to local restaurants, fitness and personal care facilities, outdoor activities, entertainment venues ….
• Tickets/passes to area sporting events & activities - movies, fishing, bowling, baseball, golf, lotteries, etc...
• Maps, travel posters, and travel guides that can be used for theme decorating.
• Sporting and cultural memorabilia – posters, equipment, cards, magazines, you name it.
The Volunteers: We will definitely need extra help on the day of the Auction. Join us for the morning setup or at check-in & checkout during the evening. Lend a hand for a while! We need to count on a large group to make the April 10th event another big success.

Attention Prout parents and families: auctions items are still needed for this great evening which is our single most important social and fundraising event of the year. Whether big or small, gently used or new - your item will be greatly appreciated and help make the Auction a success! To download a Donor Form please click here. Although the possibilities are endless, the items that have been sought after in the past include:
- sports memorabilia and tickets to games
- spa packages/beauty related goods
- restuarant gift certificates
- theatre tickets
- "stay-cations" - things to do locally - museums, tours, etc.
- golf - either complimentary rounds or golf apparell
- items for the home
- cooking utensils and supplies
- health and fitness items
- upcoming prom essentials - ie. transportation, flowers, hair, nails
- jewelry
Specifics on the Event....
Taking place on Saturday, April 10th, The Prout School will host its 16th Annual Auction and Dinner at the Village Inn in Narragansett - located at 1 Beach Street, Narragansett from 6pm to 10pm.
