What sport do you play?
I compete on the girls’ varsity tennis team.

How long have you been playing?
I have been playing tennis since I was about six year old.

What has been your most memorable team moment since attending the Prout School?
I have had many memorable moments since attending The Prout School but one of the most memorable team moments for me has just been having the opportunity to compete on a team with so many amazing girls that I have formed great friendships with over the years.  Winning the division last year was also extremely memorable because it proved that all of our hard work throughout the season had paid off.  This past season I was selected to be on the All-State team along with achieving the first team all division since my freshman year.  Winning the team sportsmanship award my sophomore year was also been pretty a pretty amazing experience because excelling in tennis is important to me, but having a good attitude has always meant the most to me.

How do Prout coaches inspire you?
Prout coaches have been extremely inspiring and push me to be the best that I can be on and off the field.  In addition to molding me into a great athlete, Prout coaches have inspired me to become a well-rounded person by truly caring about their athletes and wanting them to develop both as athletes and individuals.

What does being a member of a Prout athletic team mean to you?
Being a member of a Prout athletic team makes me feel a part of a community.  Being a freshman on the girls’ varsity tennis team two years ago was a bit overwhelming, but the older members of the team took me under their wing and made me feel comfortable with my fellow team members.

How do you manage your academic workload with your demanding athletic schedule?
Because I am a full IB student, time management is extremely important.  Sometimes finding the time to complete my assignments is difficult, but Prout has taught me how to efficiently manage my time, allowing me to complete my assignments, and although sometimes challenging, in the long run it has been very rewarding.  Prout has allowed me to become a well-rounded person who has had the opportunity to excel not only athletic field, but academically as well.
