Spanish Club Mission Statement: This club is open to anyone currently enrolled at The Prout School. It will help to expand the students’ knowledge about the cultures of different Hispanic American countries and will work to promote cultural diversity and enrichment opportunities through experiences, emphasizing language, social issues, service, and fun.
Dear Parents or Guardians,
The Spanish Club is pleased to announce an exciting trip opportunity. This trip is open to any interested students. The dates are from June 19 to July 27, 2009. All participants will be able to explore Costa Rica.
During the tour, the participants will visit many of Costa Rica’s most famous landmarks, such as: Poás Volcano and its hot springs, La Fortuna waterfall, Monteverde Reserve; also in that area a visit to a local school, the Santa Elena Cloud Forest, and other locations on the Central Pacific Coast.
Local guides will help each member of the trip to embrace the culture and customs of Costa Rica. Everyone will explore Costa Rican Folklore, rich cultural traditions, culinary masterpieces, marimba music and a multitude of other Costa Rican forms of entertainment. All participants will be able to experience historical treasures firsthand, while furthering their understanding of the history and culture of Costa Rica.
In today’s society, foreign studies offer an abundance of academic, social and personal advancements. Knowledge of foreign languages and affairs allows all people to develop as a citizen in today’s multifaceted society.
This trip offers an indescribable educational opportunity. The ability to experience the world firsthand can influence each students perspective on life, learning and even influence their career direction.
The trip has been organized through the company Education First (EF). This company has been in business for more than 40 years it has offices around the world. Their international locations and reviews are outstanding, allowing all people interested in traveling the security and comfort necessary to travel with ease.
Also EF guarantees the lowest prices for the highest quality. The cost of this 9-day trip is $1,970, which includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, a full-time EF tour director, daily breakfast and dinner, entrance fees to select attractions and guided sightseeing tours. Final Enrollment Date is Thursday March 12, 2009
Please discuss this fantastic opportunity with your son or daughter. These trips are fast-paced and involve a lot of enthusiasm and energy. It is one thing to learn about world history and other cultures through books, but it so much more meaningful to experience landmarks and historical greatness in person.

Please note that in order to enroll, all students need to pay an enrollment fee of $95 in advanced. To register in the tour, the students have three options:
