How long have you been acting?
I’ve been acting since I was a kid. I always used to take on different characters I’d see in movies and pretend to be them. I officially started acting in sixth grade when I was Charlie in the Music Man.
What has been your favorite show to participate in at Prout?
My favorite show to partake in at Prout has been Hamlet
How have you enjoyed working with Mr. DiLullo?
Working with Mr. DiLullo has been the best experience I have ever had not just for acting but for the whole theatre experience. He really knows what he’s doing and its nice for students to have a professional director so that they are prepared for the real world of theatre when they leave high school.
What has been your most treasured experience in Prout’s Theatre Department?
I thoroughly enjoyed Hamlet. I thought the whole experience was the greatest thing I’ve ever had the priviledge of being a part of. I loved dissecting the show and understanding the characters and their motivation. Hamlet was the show that I felt grew the most as an actor. I made connections with my character and the other actors on the stage. I didn’t feel like I was just up their reciting lines, but I thought I was Polonius and I thought that we were in Denmark.
Who is your favorite actor?
My favorite actor is Daniel Day Lewis. I love how long he takes to become a character because the end result is flawless.
Do you plan on pursuing acting as a career?
No, I do not plan on pursuing acting as a career. I love acting, but I don’t feel like it’s my calling. I love film-making though and would love to pursue a career in directing.
