How have you enjoyed working with Mr. DiLullo?
Working with Mr. DiLullo has been the best experience I have ever had not just for acting but for the whole theatre experience. He really knows what he’s doing and its nice for students to have a professional director so that they are prepared for the real world of theatre when they leave high school. The Visual and Performing Arts Department encompasses theatre, music, dance and the visual arts. It is one of the leading high school arts programs in the state with crowds that draw over 6,000 people from all across Rhode Island each year. The department strives for its students to explore and develop their creative talents in the classroom, on stage, as well as with community outreach programs. We aspire to train young performers and visual artists by preparing them to enter competitive college and conservatory arts programs. Through their study, students are encouraged to take risks, understand studio discipline and learn to work independently and cooperatively. The department presents many events each academic year. These include plays, musicals, workshops, art exhibits, and dance and music concerts. The main performance space holds a proscenium thrust stage. This auditorium seats 700 people and uses state of the art equipment.
