Visiting Prout

Prout has a beautiful campus and we can't wait to show it to you. Want to walk the halls from a distance? Take our virtual tour here.

We are offering private tours. If you are interested in scheduling a tour, please reach out to Sharon DeLuca, Director of Admissions, at sdeluca@theproutschool.org.

The Application Process

We are converting to a new application system so we appreciate your patience while we finalize the application module. The on-line application for the Class of 2031 and transfer students for the fall of 2027 will open October 10, 2026.

The portal will guide you through the following steps required to apply:

• Register for the High School Placement Test. All 9th grade applicants must take the Catholic High School Placement Test (HSPT) in order to be considered for acceptance. Transfer students do not need to take the HSPT. The test lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Placement test dates for 2026 are December 5th and December 12th.

• Provide two email addresses for recommendations from your school in the Application for Admission. Recommendations must be submitted to Prout directly by the teacher/ guidance counselor to ensure confidentiality.

• Release records from the school the student is currently attending. The Prout School admissions office will submit your Transcript Release form to your current school. Your transcript should come from the Guidance Office.
• We begin Shadow visits for rising 9th grade student in mid-October.

You can check the status of your forms and your application using your on-line account.

The Prout School does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religious beliefs or ethnic origin.
